Wow. Wow. Wow. Here I am just sitting in my room thinking about what Friar Lawrence had told me. He recounted all of the events that had happened that one day. When I thought that Romeo shouldn't come back to Verona for his own safety as well as the others, he still came back. Deep down, I actually expected him to come back. But, what he told me next hurt my soul. Romeo went to Juliet to visit her, but to only see her in a grave. Paris, who also happened to be there fought Romeo to his death. When Romeo proceeded, it was when he returned he saw Juliet moments before and saw her dead. Quickly he took a vial that he had apparently bought from a man from Mantua. It was a poison that would kill him quickly. A poison that would kill someone so fast that would kill 20 strong men instantly, according to his letters. "And here he writes that he did buy a poison. Of a poor 'pothecary, and withdrawl." (pg.284) I couldn't believe that Romeo was dead and it was only by his will. He died because he supposedly thought that Juliet was dead. That's when I was confused. Juliet was given a vial that would make her seem dead, but would wake up a day later. So, if only Romeo stayed alive to see Juliet wake up, they would've lived happily. It breaks my heart to know that Juliet too, took her life to be with Romeo. This was just so crazy that all of them died due to unnecessary reasons. My heart, soul, and mind hurts too much.
