While Romeo and I were simply discussing issues regarding his love life, we were suddenly halted to stop as a guy by the name of Peter (who appeared to be a servant) needed some help. Unknowing that he may contain some valuable information, Romeo and I seeked to help him. It turns out that he needed assistance with reading some names off of a piece of paper. Romeo read the names out loud and I as soon as I heard the names of the people going, I knew Romeo and I had to go. This was the chance for me to convince Romeo that Rosaline wasn’t the only girl that he should his eyes on. I talked to Romeo about it afterwards, but he didn’t like a single bit of it. I repeatedly pleaded him to keep his eyes on other girls because there are several other people that would take his mind off Rosaline. This was the opportunity where I could show Romeo that there are so many other people that Romeo wouldn’t even try to look at. He had a tunnel vision and that vision only directed his attention to that one girl. I remember saying, “Go thither, and with unattainted eye. Compare her face with some that I shall show...” ( Act 1 Scene 2 Line 87) This was also a risky task only realizing that the party was solely for the Montague family and invitees. Romeo agreed to go with me, so that he could see Rosaline at the party. I knew there was something more than just him meeting Rosaline. I had to convince him otherwise. There had to be a way.
