When Tybalt killed Mercutio, I will admit I was in disbelief. I was just so surprised that both of them had agreed to fight each other. They knew rightfully that the situation between the Capulets and the Montagues would only worsen. Although Mercutio was sometimes annoying to me, he was still a great friend of mine that will be dearly missed. It was only a matter of time, someone on the Montague family would convict revenge. Romeo started boiling up and immediately I knew what he was thinking. Revenge. He even said, "He's alive and victorious, and KMercutio's dead? Enough with mercy and consideration. It's time for rage to guide my actions." (pg.147) Before, I could even stop him, Tybalt approached us as Romeo was thinking about fighting him. I didn't have really great feeling about this at the time. I knew I should've stopped Romeo, but it was as if Romeo left at the speed of lightning to take his revenge on Tybalt. I was speechless and dumbfound. I should have acted upon it earlier! But, there was really nothing to be done. Nothing could take back Romeo's vengefulness at that instant. I can only hope that no one dies during the fight. Which is very unlikely.
