I was only talking to Mercutio when Romeo suddenly appeared after his mysterious absence. He kept claiming that he had very important business to handle regarding various things, but Mercutio and I got very suspicious. I really wanted to get on his case about where he was the past night, but Mercutio kept questioning him. I knew that Mercutio would keep Romeo in an awkward state, but I was still curious. Romeo wouldn't dare to give us an explanation, but we were sure that it had to do with sexual affairs and his love. Every time we would ask him for an answer, he said "Pardon good Mercutio, my business was great, and in such a case as mine a man may strain courtesy." (pg. 108) I wondered what could be so important that he couldn't tell us what had happened. I assumed that young Romeo either found another love and/or checked Rosaline out. I certainly hope that Romeo spent his time alone rather than contemplating about his love life. He has spent way too much time about his sexual intentions rather than spending time with who it really matters with. I didn't get much information about where Romeo was, but I'll question him later.
