It was such a long day out and I wanted to just have a rest without getting into a fight with the Capulets. Meeting the Capulets would only lead to more trouble, and certainly death for at least one unknowing person. However, Mercutio insists that we stay outside and practically calls me a chicken for not wanting to use my sword. I thought about it for a second, and contemplated whether he was right or not. I think Mercutio was simply describing himself. I recall him saying, " When someone does the smallest thing to make you angry, you get angry. And when you;re in the mood to get angry, you find something to get angry about." (pg.137) To be honest, this sounds exactly like him. Last time around, he gave the Nurse a hard time and was always the one initiating the fight. If he is't starting the fight, he makes others feel useless and stupid, while making him look like a king. Plus the last time I checked, I never got angry over the littlest things. I was always trying to make the situation better and the one trying to stop fights. So, I have no idea where Mercutio was obtaining that information from or maybe he wanted to make himself feel better. Who knows. But, he seemed so carefree and wanting to start a fight. I already sense trouble brewing.
